SURROGATE MATCHING

Once we have established your profile within our network, we can get started on introducing you to your intended parents. Our team has introduced hundreds of surrogates to their intended parents through our in-depth matching services. We accomplish this via a thorough vetting of all our candidates, so that we can have a detailed understanding of your expectations from the experience.

LEGAL & MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS

We will assist with all legal arrangements with your intended parents. We require that you have legal counsel, to develop a Carrier Agreement aligned with your needs. Once you have signed, you will undergo a medical screening with a trusted IVF doctor in the LOOP Surrogacy network and proceed with medication treatment with your local clinic. Your doctor may use birth control or other hormonal interventions to gain better control over your cycle in the leadup to embryo transfer.

Pregnancy

We generally transfer embryos that have completed the blastocyst stage of development (i.e. a day five or day six embryo). Embryos may be transferred fresh or as previously frozen as a frozen embryo thaw cycle. We Coordinate embryo transfer such that it occurs just when your womb lining is most ready to receive an embryo for implantation. Once the womb is ready for transfer, one or two embryos will be transferred via a catheter inserted into the uterus through the cervix. This transfer is a mostly painless procedure, and you will not require any anesthesia. From here, you will continue attending regular check-ups until pregnancy is confirmed. You will undergo an ultrasound to confirm a heartbeat at the six week mark.

An average pregnancy lasts around nine months. During this time, you will transition to your chosen OBGYN for all major appointments at around 10 weeks gestation. Intended parents will frequently choose to attend these checkup appointments at the Obstetrician with you, and you will undergo a 2D or 3D ultrasound (anatomy scan) at 16-20 weeks. Alongside the pregnancy, you will collaborate with your intended parents to draft a birth plan and finalize parental rights. LOOP Surrogacy will serve as your go-between in this process, helping you outline your preferences for the day of delivery. Our team will provide ongoing assistance during this time, offering a variety of benefits such as home clearing services during the third trimester in our mission to make each surrogate’s pregnancy as stress free as possible.

Delivery and Beyond

Time for the big day! After delivery, your intended parents will meet their baby for the first time. You will continue to receive any necessary support from LOOP Surrogacy through the fourth trimester while your body heals from pregnancy. This period might entail a wide range of emotions, from joy to sadness. We recommend spending quality time with your intended parents and the baby while they are still local. In many instances, surrogates and intended parents will maintain a lasting bond after the birth of the baby. As life returns to normal, you will want to identify the style of relationship that best meets your needs. Most importantly, you should take this time to reflect on the remarkable gift you have provided for your intended parents.
